UI Design – The “How” of a Product

UI design is the process of creating software or computer interfaces with an emphasis on appearance and style. Through the creativity of the UX designer, UI design makes achieving user goals aesthetically pleasing. Thus, we can consider UI as an integral part of UX.

In the labor market, we often see “UX / UI designer” vacancies. Companies prefer to hire professionals who can fully design a product, making it responsive and visually appealing. This is partly because customers want everything at the same price, and some do not understand at all what stages and tasks UX design covers. In fact, UX design includes UI design as one of the steps. We will look at this process and the functions and methods of both types of designers.

Features of UX design.

The entire UX development process is focused on creating the best user experience by eliminating information load. It consists of two parts:

  • Find ways and means to solve it.

The first part is the responsibility of the UX designer, understanding the user and his/her needs.

Research and analysis of the user.

The goal of everyone at this stage is to understand the user and his/her pain points. This is when a UX designer works alongside a business analyst to conduct market research, competitive analysis, user and stakeholder surveys, record user actions, and determine their journey.

A UX designer is a person who can work in collaboration with a business analyst (BA) when needed. As the business analyst collects requirements from stakeholders and potential users and incorporates them into program documentation, the UX specialist transforms everything into the information architecture of the product. In most cases, the role of BA is taken over by a UX specialist, or they work together on common tasks. A UX designer starts by researching competitors to determine the general characteristics of a future product.
