Remember

At this level, the learners are expected to remember all the terminologies and facts that they have come across in the classroom. This also involves learning and remembering concepts and terms by googling, bookmarking, bullet pointing, searching, and revising.

The students can make use of digital resources like computers and the internet, using proper keywords for gaining exact information about subjects, to understand the concepts or go through any topic whenever required. Further, the teacher should encourage the students to remember important dates and facts using various techniques involving student engagement. This includes conducting quizzes, games that promote learning and remembering the information.

Also, the teachers can help the students by asking questions like –

  •        Write a summary of the event.
  •        Can you define the following terminology?
  •        Who was the key character of the story?
  •        Can you differentiate between two terminologies?

Understanding

This level involves understanding the ideas and concepts learned in the classroom and being able to explain them further. This also includes getting a flow of things from the graphic materials, tweets, from various other sources such as tweets, tags, subscriptions, and comments. Further, the students should be well versed with advanced searching, asking doubts to the faculty members, trying to connect the dots from the previous classes or sessions, and develop a conclusion.

The teacher should try making students understand important concepts through various methods of using storytelling or examples. It helps the students to construct ideas and develop relationships between the topics and subjects. The teachers can also help the students to develop understanding  by conducting classroom activities and asking questions like

  •        Write a summary of the topic

  •        Give an example of what you have understood

Applying

After understanding the information learned by the students in classrooms, they should be able to apply it for solving problems in the syllabus as well as in daily life. The students can take the information they have understood and put it in a format that can be shared with a group or uploaded somewhere on the internet as well as open for editing.

Analyzing

This involves learning to process the given data and information, divide it into similar parts and learn the relationships between these parts. The students must understand and take responsibility for the entire purpose of the project and work according to it.

The students can make use of survey tools to understand and analyze people’s experiences or opinions concerning a subject. To help the student analyze, the teachers can ask questions in the classroom such as-

  •        Make a family tree showing relationships
  •        Create a questionnaire to collect information.

Evaluation

This involves assessments using judgments on subjects and topics based on the previously understood information. The student should be able to justify their opinion or take a stand for what they feel is right.

The teacher should encourage the student to participate in debates and competitions talking about social issues and environmental concerns. The students can grade their understandings, correct themselves and keep on testing. The teachers can assign activities like-

  •        Form groups to discuss the following topic.
  •        Write a letter suggesting changes in the following.
  •        Write 5 rules you think are most important.

 Creating

Creating is the last level of Bloom’s Taxonomy and it involves understanding problems, analyzing people’s experiences, evaluating ideas, and creating their own product. This level requires a student’s understanding and proficiency in all the previous levels to solve a problem.

The teachers can encourage the students to think creatively and solve problems. Digitization is helping the students to publish their papers, suggest ideas, and get product feedback instantly. The teacher can assign activities such as

  •        Sell an idea of yours
  •        Create a product and build its marketing strategy
  •        Offer a solution to the ongoing issue
